In Conversation with Common Library Featuring Yours Truly & My New Book
In Conversation with Common Library
Recently, I was featured on Common Library’s “In Conversation” series. What a pleasure! And an honour. This is one bookish account that is as stylish as it is literary and interesting to follow. The aesthetic is cohesive, minimalist, and visually stunning. Described as a community for book lovers, they’re featuring currents reads as well as conversations with authors and readers alike.
Common Library: What are you currently reading?
Wives Like Us by Plum Sykes. I've been obsessed with her books since Bergdorf Blondes and am so excited to devour her latest novel. I also just finished reading The Truth About The Devlins by Lisa Scottoline and from the first page, I was hooked.
What’s your reading routine?
As a mom of twins, I don't have as much time for reading as I used to, but I try to squeeze in a couple of chapters before bed each night. Also, I love to carry a book in my bag when I leave the house in case I'm waiting somewhere or for someone and can get lost in a book instead of my phone.

What is the most life changing book you’ve ever read?
I'd have to say Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella. I first read it when I was 11 years old, which in hindsight was a bit too young, but it opened my eyes to this chic, hilarious genre of novels that ultimately inspired me to want to be an author of similar stories and eventually publish my own book.
What’s on your TBR list?
You May Now Kill The Bride by Kate Weston, One Perfect Couple by Ruth Ware, and I'd like to re-read Happy Hour by Marlowe Granados.
If you could recommend one book, what would it be?
One that I have read over and over throughout the years is Can You Keep A Secret by Sophie Kinsella. It's so funny. I'd also (shamelessly) recommend my novel, The Manhattan Mishap, and my forthcoming collection of short stories called Thirteen Emotions!
