When Your Book Matches Your Jacquemus Bag

Sometimes I hate my book cover. Or maybe hate is the wrong word. I’m unsatisfied with it. Recently I’ve been playing around with the idea of designing a new cover. I’ve sort of created a new one. I love it, but I don’t know if I love it enough. Also, I spoke to my publisher and to do a new cover, I’d have the opportunity to make edits to the rest of the book too.

While I would love to release an updated version of The Manhattan Mishap, I don’t have the time right now to dedicate towards making all the edits and changes I want to. What I’d love to do is almost rewrite the book; update it to my current standards. After all, I started writing it when I was twenty-six. I’m a totally different person now. But then again… it’s almost like a time capsule of the drama and mindset I found myself in at that time.

Who knows. Maybe I’ll update the cover first and the story later. Time will tell.

Then there are the moments when my cover perfectly matches one of my favourite Jacquemus bags and I think, it’s not so bad, it’s kind of chic.
